Thermal Bath “Wiesenbad”

The thermal bath Wiesenbad is located in a small town at the heart of the Erzgebirge, situated in the afforested surroundings of the romantic Zschopautal valley, 435m above sea level. The town has a 500-year spa tradition since the mounting of the first thermal fountain in 1501.
With its natural thermal water in combination with the curative effect of regional herbal treatments and the certified pureness of the air offers an all-round natural treatment – combined with individuality and a holistic therapy.
Today the thermal bath Wiesenbad is an officially recognised spa resort. The health centre “Miriquidi” with spa clinic, thermal bath, pump room and therapy centre is ideal in the Erzgebirge for rehabilitation, prevention, health holidays and recreation. The synthesis of historical and modern architecture is typical for the newly refurbished and newly built spa facilities. The attractive spa gardens which were only built in this century are an oasis for quiet and relaxation– but also as a starting point for challenging cycling, hiking, and Nordic waking trails.
The wheelchair-accessible interface between trains and busses was created as a direct connection from the rehab centre to the spa gardens.
The thermal bath is famous all over Germany for its special treatment of patients with Poliomyelitis and its remote damages.
