Clinic Tharandter Wald Hetzdorf
The clinic is situated in the famous resort Hetzdorf, a district in the town of Halsbrücke. It is scenically located at the South-western outskirts of the Tharandt forest, at the braches of the Erzgebirge outside of the Saxon capital of Dresden. The town is an officially recognised spa resort founded around 1200 and has attracted numerous visitors with its charming scenery.
The 6 000 hectare Tharandt forest – which is often called the most beautiful forest of Saxony – has a mild micro climate. The forest is with its built out trails a diversified nature experience. Historical attractions such as the medieval glass melting square or a hunting pillar that was erected in honour of Saxon ruler August III.
Many refuges and benches offer rest. The town still has many timber-framed houses. Relax in one of the cosy restaurants and cafés or enjoy the nearby water park »Sumpfmühle« with its solar heated water, many attractions and broad sunbathing areas. Lifting equipment for handicapped people available. Due to the central location invites to outings to Dresden, Meißen, Moritzburg, Saxon Switzerland, the old mining town Freiberg or into the near Erzgebirge. The visit of the St. Anna church in Niederschöna is a special experience. Concerts on an originally preserved Silbermann organ take place several times a year.

Capacity and equipment
All 240 rooms and 20 apartments have a balcony, shower/WC, modern and handicapped-friendly. This includes TV and telephone. All therapeutical and diagnostic facilities, rooms, dining hall and swimming pool are easy to reach.
30 beds for intensive super vision are available for early rehab patients. Besides patient parking the clinic also has a helicopter landing field.
